PC Help
Keep your PC safe by avoiding these common spam methods. Once you learn to recognize these cons, you will know exactly how to avoid them. Take some time to understand the most often used tricks.
Virus Application
This pop-up ad is made to look like a virus warning message. The site offers the cure and gives you enough information to make you think it is legitimate. Any pop-up that asks you for money to fix a problem you didn’t know you had is a con. As soon as you click the ad and pay them their money, you get tricked into thinking the software fixed your problems. At this point you have a poorly written software package that has no value. Also, the fake software can make your real virus software stop functioning Now, you spent your money and caused more problems than you fixed.
Free stuff
It is always a con when a pop-up wants to give you anything free. Nothing is free, ever. Any type of message or an email telling you that you won or you have been selected for anything, you are about to get a flood of email. There is no UK lottery or Internet lottery, I promise. Also, I don’t like your chances of receiving the free iPod just for clicking a link and submitting your ship to address. Don’t fall for it and stop clicking everything you see.
Inexpensive medications
Just no, it doesn’t happen. I’m sure there are good providers in CA, they sell more than just male oriented products. Nor do they only sell products that some may be embarrassed to buy from the local Walgreens. The plan here is to simply never send you anything and they hope you will not call your bank to cancel the CC transaction. You will also notice they inevitably have a 30-60 delivery window, many people simply forget.
